BULLETPROOF ATHLETE

Bulletproof Athlete

This course has everything you need to move and perform as a strong and supple athlete. No matter your sport, we all need to work on our mobility, flexibility, strength, balance and body control to fulfil our athletic potential, and this course is designed to do just that.

In Bulletproof Athlete, we rotate 3 skills—Mobility, Stability and Flexibility. The Mobility videos are designed to mobilise joints throughout your body. The Stability routines are designed to build total body strength and resilience. And the Flexibility videos are dynamic flow sequences that focus primarily on releasing tension in the hips and hamstrings.

OBJECTIVES

  • Increase range of motion.
  • Build total body strength.
  • Alleviate recurring aches and pains.
  • Improve body awareness and control.
  • Break out of restricted movement patterns.
  • Enhance coordination and agility.
  • Boost power, speed and endurance.
  • Reduce your risk of injury.
  • Bring you calm and clarity.

HOW THIS COURSE IS STRUCTURED

In this course, we cycle through Mobility, Stability and Flexibility sequences. The first time through, I recommend that you work your way through the videos, one per day, in the order that I have laid them out. The sessions become increasingly more difficult as you progress and each video prepares you for what is coming up next.

When you’re familiar with the sequences, there are a couple of ways that you can fit them into your training. The Mobility videos are great as warm-up and standalone mobilisation sessions. The Stability videos make great pre-workout activations. And you can choose the appropriate Flexibility routine for your particular area of tightness, especially directly after your workout.

YOGA 15 COMBINATIONS

You could also experiment with putting videos together. Two of my favourite combinations are Stability followed by Flexibility and Mobility, Stability and then Flexibility.

For example,

The Double: Core Stability // Groin And Hip Flexors

The Triple: Foot And Ankle Mobility // Knee And Ankle Stability // Glutes And Piriformis
