YOGA FOR CYCLISTS

Yoga For Cyclists

The effectiveness of yoga for cyclists is hard to overstate. On the mat, we practice counterposes for the riding posture, release deeply-held tension, move in a diversity of ranges and planes of motion and train key skills including breathing, balance and coordination.

In this 15-video introductory course, we’ll cover a wide variety of yoga styles and sequences to support every aspect of your training.

YOGA FOR CYCLISTS

Yoga 15 has a very special relationship with cycling. It’s a sport that I love and one that benefits so profoundly from a complementary yoga practice.

On the bike, we improve our cardiovascular fitness, leg strength and endurance and on the mat we train skills that support us in our efforts. We learn how to relieve pain from holding the same position for long periods of time, we have poses that help us to stretch out tight muscles, we practice balance, breathing, keep our muscles and joints healthy, and perhaps more than anything, find a way to completely relax.

So that we can dig deep the next day when our bikes call for us to take them out for a spin!
